Height 2020-05-25 1969-12-31 Sunship have just released one of Conrad Schnitzler’s last works on a limited edition vinyl release of 500. The label wanted some pieces in the style of “Silvester Anfang” (the song Schnitzler donated to Mayhem to use as the opening track of their debut album “Deathcrush”, see here).However, Conrad could not find these in his archives so he kindly proposed to write new music in the Anyway, it looks like Schnitzler's involvement was with the intro on Deathcrush. Here is the only link I've found so far with any decent amount of info on it (see third paragraph), and even that's not that much.

The intro is a composition by Conrad Schnitzler of Tangerine Dream. Contrarly to popular belief, Schnitzler did not create the piece specifically for Mayhem: when Euronymous asked for an intro he just gave him a random piece of music he found in his archives, it became "Silvester Anfang" .
